What is the difference between 8/4, 8/6, and 8/8 Cotton?

8/4 Cotton is made of 4 threads spun together. It is a 3 ply (UK) or Fingering/Sock weight yarn (US) . It is the recommended yarn for our Amigurumi patterns. It is also great for dishclothes, bags, home decor and light summer clothing.  

8/6 Cotton is made of 6 threads spun together. It is a 4 ply (UK) or Sport weight yarn (US). It is best suited for summer clothes, home decor, bags, amigurumi, and more. 

8/8 Cotton is made of (you guessed it!) 8 threads spun together. It is an 8ply (UK) or DK weight yarn (US). It is best suited for potholders, home decor, clothing and heavy dishcloths. 

These are only suggested uses, the only limit is your creativity! Selecting a yarn weight for a project is a matter of personal preference, so always feel free to experiment :)
